Project Description
Design3 were appointed to undertake the Design & Construct Stage of the Façade Engineering and shop drawing documentation. Our Scope of Works for this $480 million project, included all of the Design & Construct façade engineering for all external cladding, being engaged by ABS facades, and all external glazing engineering, engaged by Com-Al glazing. Additionally, Design3 were engaged by Com-Al to complete all external glazing documentation for the entire project.
Design3 were ideally suited for the challenging scale and complexity of this project, providing a team of engineers and drafting resources to compliment and support our clients through this major infrastructure project.
Of great benefit to our clients on a project this large, was that the engineering design team and the documentation team were all co-located in the same office. This meant that project coordination and communication was streamlined and efficient. Everything from project meetings through to time critical design changes could be dealt with in one location adding a great deal of efficiency to the project for both our clients and the main builder Multiplex.
